Diabetes

Cure the diabetes completely by yourself using natural means.

  • Excerpt from an upcoming sequel „Sinu organism on võimeline välja ravima igasuguse haiguse (ka vähi), ainult aita teda” to „Isetervendaja käsiraamat“ by Virgo and Ljudmilla Mihkelsoo.
  • This article is meant for those, who have read and started following recommendations in „Isetervendaja käsiraamat” (referred to as ITK). The book has been published in Russian and Estonian.Isetervendaja_kasiraamat_esikaan

The main principles

  • Diabetes is a malfunction in digestion of carbohydrates. This is due to the pancreas not producing enough insulin, the body not responding properly to the insulin produced and high blood sugar levels. When the production of insulin is non-existent in the pancreas or has decreased so much, that without injecting the insulin the body would not be able to function and the diabetes sufferer could die, then it is type 1 diabetes, other times it is type 2 diabetes. In case of diabetes, either the synthesis of insulin has decreased by 50% or the cells of the body fail to respond to insulin properly. Type 2 diabetes may develop into type 1, if the condition remains ignored.
  • The medical treatment of diabetes does not try to normalise or improve the functions of the pancreas and neither to restore the synthesis and function of insulin, etc. Modern medicine only provides insulin replacement therapy, prescription pills and training for diabetics to help them to cope with the disease by maintaining healthy weight, dieting and increasing the level of physical activity.
  • It is well known, that it is possible to cure 100% any type of diabetes. Modern blood analysis methods enable to keep close eye on the healing process of the diabetic, but the patients are unaware of this. Numerous polls in various countries show, that a lot of them do not believe in complete recovery or it is easier and more convenient to simply live with the disease. Diabetes becomes chronic in 80% of cases and a diabetic might die after suffering for 20–30 years.
  1. What are the key points in diabetes treatment?
  • The beta cells in the pancreas, which are responsible for producing the insulin, are able to form again (recover, regenerate and grow) by external and internal influences (specific stimulation, providing necessary conditions). The amount of beta cells in pancreas changes dynamically. Beta cells are able to grow in numbers, if the cells urgently need the glucose and there is plenty of it in the blood (obesity, pregnancy, insulin resistance).
  • Scientists researching diabetes have noted cases, in which beta cells regenerate and their amount increases.
  • It has been proven, that the body may multiply and restore beta cells; differentiate them from stem cells in bone marrow; produce them from rapidly multiplying cells in pancreatic duct walls or from other cells in the pancreas. The duties of beta cells may also be carried out by other cells in the islets of Langerhans by stimulated endogenous reprogramming/reprofiling.
  • It is possible to guide restoring and self-healing powers in the body by epigenetic influencing (exogenous influence or blocking of genes) or activation of self-healing processes, to normalise the blood glucose level (read more in ITK chapter 11 and 21).

The following has been added to the original article upon many requests from readers and those, who have consulted with us.

  • It is possible to achieve an optimal blood glucose level by finding a good balance in between the glucose and insulin injected/pills ingested.
  • Excessive amount of glucose in blood is always harmful for the body. The following are examples of possible dangers.
  • Development of anxiety, absent-mindedness, frailness, drowsiness, headaches, dizziness, migraine; for children poor performance in school, physical inactivity or hyperactivity.
  • Mineral imbalance in the body (possible copper and chrome deficiency, reduced absorption of calcium and magnesium), vitamin E deficiency, decreased absorption of proteins.
  • Poor resistance to infections, increased blood cholesterol level, swelling due to excessive water in the body.
  • Tissues lose their elasticity, blood pressure may rise, development of heart diseases and brain activity may slow down.
  • Development of different diseases in the digestive tract, obesity, atherosclerosis, osteoporosis, poliomyelitis, food allergies, cataract, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, depression, appendicitis, haemorrhoids.
  • Enlarged liver, kidneys; aging of tissues; activation of premature aging.
  • Occurrence of gallstones, podagra, eczema, epileptic seizures, varicose veins.
  • Development of autoimmune diseases (such as arthritis, asthma, sclerosis multiplex).
  • Acceleration in growth of those cancer cells, which were growing slowly before.
  • Excessive insulin.
  • The injected and often semi synthetic insulin is always a foreign substance, an antigen, to the body. That is why it starts to resist the insulin and by doing so, weakens itself and the immune system. Thus, the body loses its ability to recover and heal itself from different diseases. Any type of excessive insulin (endogenous, produced by the body itself, or exogenous, injected insulin) always has a toxic impact. The following are examples of some negative effects of insulin.
    • Stimulates obesity (overweight people always have an excessive amount of insulin in their blood).
    • Increases the deterioration of bone tissue, development of osteoporosis, boosts the development of various autoimmune diseases and thyroid gland inflammations.
    • Stimulates chronic inflammations and growth of cancer cells.
    • Increases the synthesis of fats from glucose in liver, blocks the transformation of fats to produce energy, encourages the deposition of excess glucose in fat cells; activates the occurrence of zits, dandruff and cradle cap.
    • Stimulates the growth of muscle cells that surround the blood vessels; narrows, destroys and clogs the capillaries, arteries; stimulates the development and growth of thrombosis.
    • Increases the chance of having an infarct or a stroke (even a healthy person has a risk of having an infarct or an attack, because of the sudden increase in insulin level after a meal).
    • Increases the blood pressure (in 50% of the cases, those who inject too much insulin or whose body cells have developed insulin resistance, have high blood pressure).
    • Causes asthma, bronchitis, respiratory inflammations, impotency and numbness in limbs.
    • Weakens the body to the destructive impact of free radicals and so shortens the life expectancy.
    • Accelerates the onset of short-sightedness, hair loss; development of many chronic diseases and cancer.
If anything mentioned above applies to a non-diabetic and excessive amount of endogenous insulin is suspected, then an analysis to determine the insulin level should be done. The optimal reference range is around 3–20 (23–29) mlU/L. Results will be over 30 if there is excessive insulin and then it is very important to make body cells more sensitive towards insulin by nutrition and using different plants.

  • It is possible to regulate and normalise functions of the digestive tract with healthy nutrition and different methods (read more in ITK chapters 9, 10, 12, 13). By doing this, the synthesis and functions of incretin hormones (especially glucagon-like peptide 1, GLP-1) in the mucosa of the digestive tract are assured. The body needs those hormones to: regulate the moving speed of the food in the digestive tract (regulating the speed affects the absorption of glucose into blood); stimulate the insulin synthesis and secretion; stimulate the growth of new beta cells in the pancreas.
  • Herbs can affect blood glucose level. Natural means can activate the regeneration or production of new beta cells (synthesis and secretion of insulin), restore the sensitivity to insulin of many cells and stop the autoimmune destruction of beta cells.
    • Modern medicine uses over 270 different plants (herbs, fruits, berries, vegetables, nuts, etc.) among which 200 plants directly or indirectly help to lower the glucose level in blood (have an impact similar to insulin). For example, nettle, dandelion, primula, tea-leaf, thistle, chicory, Hypericum, common horsetail, calamus, silverweed, great mullein, celery, Jerusalem artichoke, cucumber, green pepper (from peppercorn), onion, garlic, tomato, beet, cabbage, carrot, garden bean, apricot, guelder rose berries, foxberries, sea buckthorn berries, huckleberries, blueberries, rose hip berries, raw buckwheat, oats and barley.
    • Because there are many (possibly hundreds of) different active agents, it is possible to custom-make a phytopharmaceutic drug with a specific aim to do the following.
  1. Regulate the digestion of carbohydrates and functioning of pancreas and intestinal tract.
  2. Have an effect similar to insulin, reduce the blood glucose level, increase the storages of glucose.
  3. Stimulate the functioning of beta cells and production of insulin. Increase or decrease the absorption of insulin into blood.
  4. Increase the impact of and the sensitivity of cells to insulin; decrease the permeability for insulin into cell membranes.
  5. Protect the beta cells from complete destruction.
  6. Strengthen the immune system, eliminate immune deficiency, restore the important parts of the immune system, and increase the distinguishability of antigens and body cells.
  7. Halt the attacks on beta cells; activate restoration and production of new beta cells.
  8. Activate and strengthen the body’s ability to recover and heal.
  9. Reduce and cure the complications and chronic diseases caused by diabetes.

  • Use the properties of fructose. Cells do not need insulin to digest fructose; they may use it as a substitute for glucose. It has been proven, that diabetics digest fructose well. Fructose regulates the blood glucose level, especially during physical exercises. If possible, then increase the consumption of foods, which include fructose. Eat plants, root vegetables and fruits, from which body can get fructose or can use them to transform the glucose into fructose. Body needs about 50 g of fructose a day.
  • Use the properties of honey (use the natural one for which no bees were fed with sugar).
    • In order to regulate and strengthen the brain activity during the treatment of diabetes, it is necessary to consume enough glucose. Neurons do not need insulin to absorb it (read more in ITK chapter 20). It is possible, that those diets for diabetics, which severely limit the intake of glucose or synthesis of glucose in the body, cause a glucose (energy) deficiency in the brain. Because of that, the necessary self-healing and restoring processes cannot function. Due to that, many diabetics suffer complications.
    • The best source of glucose and fructose is honey. Honey has plenty of substances, which are necessary for diabetics, such as vitamins, microelements, amino acids and insulin-like agents that stimulate the functioning of pancreas. During the medieval times Ibn Sina, a famous doctor also known as Avicenna, successfully cured diabetes using phytopharmaceutic drugs and honey blends. Many modern healers and doctors from Australia, Bulgaria and Russia also refer to healing properties of honey in diabetes treatment.
    • Honey should not be prohibited for diabetics. It is recommended to consume 3 teaspoons of honey (which is about 2.5 bread units) a day (or even 6, if other natural means are used) during the treatment of diabetes. Try eating honey blends or honey together with other products that are hard to digest, so the blood glucose level would not rise too quickly. It is better to eat honey before meals.

  • Make the best of healing properties of raw buckwheat (green, light-coloured buckwheat). Buckwheat is rich in nutrients (see more in „Eestimaine tatar kui toit, tervendaja ja ravitseja” by Virgo Mihkelsoo and Nelly Vahtramaa). Each of those substances have curing properties separately, but also have healing properties altogether.
    • Buckwheat has not been genetically modified, no herbicides are used during its growth and it grows organically. Buckwheat is good for everyday consumption, because of its flavour, nutrient-density and helps to regulate digestion. A variety of dishes can be made with buckwheat for every meal (see more in „Tatratoidud pilafist šokolaadikoogini” by Nelly Vahtramaa, Lia Virkus and Anton Mihkelsoo).
    • Increases the elasticity and density of blood vessel walls, improves blood circulation in capillaries, increases the blood haemoglobin level, improves digestion, halts the development of atherosclerosis, strengthens the immune system, removes toxins from the body, protects the liver from obesity, maintains the optimal blood pressure, protects the eyesight, necessary for brain activity, reduces the blood glucose level and activates the functioning of insulin.
  • There are schools in India (ayurvedic medicine) and China (traditional Chinese medicine), which know how to cure diabetes entirely and also how to restore the endocrine function of the pancreas. When conducting the treatment plan, different factors are considered such as the age of the diabetic; individual differences; the amount of effort put into looking after themselves; condition of the immune system; condition of microflora in digestive and intestinal tract. Healthy nutrition, eating regimen, curing herbs and acupuncture treatments are used.
  • Diabetes is successfully treated in China, India, Thailand, Russia, Israel and Italy. There are no obstacles in curing the type 2 diabetes. Many polls demonstrate that currently 40% of diabetics use phytopharmaceutic drugs along with other medical treatment methods, 31% cure themselves with alternative methods and means. Close attention should be paid on consumption of carbohydrates, the amount of insulin injected or pills consumed (while regularly minimising their intake) and elimination of different obstacles in body’s functioning. By doing so, healing completely is possible in 1–4 years, depending on the skills, healthy nutrition and usage of natural means.
  • Treatment of diabetes needs to be done in phases.
  1. Do the necessary analyses. Start analysing and eliminating the cause of the diabetes (see more in ITK). Analyse and eliminate all the possible malfunctions in the body (see more in ITK). Take up physical exercises, start eating healthily and regularly (see more in ITK). Try to regulate the body weight and improve life quality (see more in ITK). Try to quickly eliminate possible symptoms and complications of diabetes. Aid the body in getting rid of chronic diseases. Try to compensate the amount of insulin injected or pills consumed, maintain optimal insulin level in the blood and constantly minimise the amount of insulin injected and pills consumed.
  2. Start stimulating replacement, recovery, regeneration and production of beta cells, which produce the insulin. Strengthen the immune system and start eliminating the autoimmune reaction against beta cells. Organise better defence and attack with natural means and methods against herpes virus infections (which may develop autoimmune reactions); provide enough nutrients for glycolysis, glycogenesis, gluconeogenesis and synthesis and absorption of insulin. Fight the stress (see more in ITK chapter 11).
  3. Regularly check the necessary amount of beta cells produced (by checking the level of C-peptides) and the lack of autoimmune reaction (by enzyme decarboxylase glutamate antibodies). Help the body to get rid of health problems caused by diabetes with healthy nutrition and lifestyle. Stop the development of new malfunctions in the body and any autoimmune reactions.
  4. Experience shows that the first phase may take about 3 months, second phase up to 6 months and the last phase may take 3 to 24 months, depending on the effort put into the treatment and following of all recommendations. Getting rid of diabetes may take up to 4 years, but in some cases it may take about 3 to 6 or even only 1 to 3 months, if the main program is strictly followed.
  5. Below there is a strict main program, which needs to be followed first. The program helps to kick-start the healing and the analyses help to determine whether the program affects the diabetes, if any mistakes are made and which health issues need more attention (custom-made phytopharmaceutic drugs, etc.).
  6. The main program also helps to verify, whether all the self-healing and recovery processes are active. If not, then changes need to be made to the program by keeping individual aspects of the disease in mind. Experience has proven that in 80% of the cases, the program will help to recover in 1–3 (6) months.
  7. After the success of the main program, a new program has to be composed and followed in order to fully restore the beta cells in the pancreas and eliminate autoimmunity. It is also important to restrain, halt the further development or eliminate the diseases or complications caused by diabetes. The treatment may take 1 to 4 years depending on the type of diabetes and the effort put into it.

The main program to kick-start the healing

  • Meant for those, who have read and started following the recommendations in “Isetervendaja käsiraamat” (ITK) by Virgo and Ljudmilla Mihkelsoo.
  • The main program helps to verify, whether improvement in healing has been made.
  1. If possible, arrange analyses to measure the level of C-peptide (demonstrates how active the beta cells are in the pancreas), glycolised haemoglobin (shows the average blood sugar level) and the antibody of enzyme decarboxylase glutamate (helps to determine whether there is any autoimmune destruction (and what is it like) of beta cells) in the blood. Start keeping a diary (daily and weekly) to track the activities, symptoms and analyses done.
  2. Follow the replacement therapy suggested by your doctor (insulin injections, pills, diet). Try to regulate the amount of carbohydrates consumed, insulin injected and pills ingested. Regularly measured blood glucose level (during 2-3 weeks) should be 6–8 mmol/L.
  3. Analyse and eliminate the possible cause(s) of the disease (ITK page 386).
  4. Analyse and eliminate all the possible malfunctions in the body (see ITK table of contents and pages 6–11).
  5. Stop making mistakes in diet (read more in ITK chapter 10); be more physically active; (ITK chapter 6), eliminate insomnia (ITK chapter 17), dehydration (ITK chapter 4); balance the acidity and basicity levels in the body (ITK chapter 12); eliminate nutrient deficiency (ITK chapter 3) and help the body to get rid of parasites, dirt and activate its cleaning system (ITK chapters 7 and 8).
  6. Diet.
  • Have 5-6 meals a day (in every 2 hours), stick to the regimen (changes in regimen may be only up to 15 minutes), eat slowly and small portions at a time, chew well, always finish your meals feeling a bit hungry. Keep the calorie and bread unit count. Make sure, that the basicity and acidity levels are always in favour of basicity; consume foods, which are slightly more basic. Eat the exact same amount of calories and bread units every day. Food always needs to be fresh. Do not consume foods that are too hot or warm; eat more fatty foods; foods need to be denser and contain more fibre; do not eat purées (to slow down the absorption of glucose). Regularly eat buckwheat.
  • Change from regular coffee to coffee made from buckwheat, chicory or Jerusalem artichoke. Caffeine interferes with the body’s ability to maintain the optimal blood glucose level. Increases stress and also blood glucose levels because of it.
  • Quench your thirst with buckwheat gruel (or just the liquid of gruel, eat the thicker part with milled flaxseeds). Gruel recipe: mix half a glass of raw fine buckwheat groats with 3 glasses of water and boil for 3–5 minutes.
  • Season foods with cinnamon (up to 6 g a day), because it increases the sensitivity of fat cells to insulin and accelerates the removal of excessive glucose.
  • Completely avoid dairy products (except buttermilk), rice, manna, smoked foods, animal fats, margarine, mayonnaise, sour cream, juices, and products, which have easily digestible carbohydrates. Do not eat products, which contain substances that stimulate diabetes, stomach and intestinal tract diseases, dysbiosis, liver and kidney diseases (read more in ITK 195–197). It is obvious, that beer, vodka, cigarettes (any kind of smoking), hamburgers, chips, etc. need to be avoided completely.
  • Eat more olive oil, root vegetables (3 times a day), black bread, fish, low-fat meat, eggs, nuts and other products with low glycemic index. Eat less fruits, but the fruits need to be consumed as whole.
  • Eat more raw buckwheat, sprouted buckwheat, onion, garlic, celery, horseradish, carrot, blueberries, foxberries, raspberries, common cabbage, garden beans and salted herring.
  1. Supporting foods (even if you cannot obtain all the foods).
  1. Wash 3 medium-sized Jerusalem artichokes with baking soda and eat with skin in 3 equal portions during the day 30 minutes before meals (as whole, grated or added to salads). Comment. May be bought from markets or farmers.
  2. Make a buttermilk blend. Mix together organic raw buckwheat flour, Jerusalem artichoke (pulverised herb and/or blossoms or use the bulb), beebread (or pollen), great mullein (pulverised herbs and/or blossoms), walnuts (ground), freshly milled flaxseeds and cinnamon. Use all in equal parts, except for cinnamon (three times less than any other ingredient). In the evening before, mix 2 tbsp of blend with 1 glass of buttermilk (without preservatives) and 2 tsp of honey. Eat in the morning before breakfast (or instead of breakfast) and after that eat 1 grated green apple. Do not eat anything for one hour. In the morning also prepare the same blend for the evening and eat in the same manner.Notes.1. RemedyWay is planning to make a special blend called RemedyWay SH-1.2. Sometimes even raw buckwheat blend with honey may help in the same manner.
  3. Prepare and drink 2-3 glasses of thickened buckwheat juice with berry and fruit purée, which are rich in vitamin C (read more in books „Tatratoidud pilafist šokolaadikoogini” by Nelly Vahtramaa, Lia Virkus and Anton Mihkelsoo and „Eestimaine tatar kui toit, tervendaja ja ravitseja” by Virgo Mihkelsoo and Nelly Vahtramaa).
  4. Make a tea blend from buckwheat (ground or pulverised herbs (and) blossoms), Jerusalem artichoke (pulverised herb and/or blossoms or use the bulb), chicory (ground or pulverised root), blueberries (leaves and/or dried (pulverised) berries), foxberries (leaves and/or dried (pulverised) berries), peppermint (ground or pulverised herb or blossoms), hawthorn (ground leaves and/or blossoms or dried (pulverised) berries), walnuts (ground leaves or nuts), celery (ground stalks, leaves or (pulverised) root), garden beans (ground greens or dried (pulverised) pods), flax (freshly ground seeds). Mix them accordingly in parts 3 : 10 : 3 : 5 : 5 : 3 : 2 : 3 : 3 : 10 : 10. Put 3 tbsp of blend into thermos, pour over 2 glasses of boiling water and drink 0.7 glasses at a time 3 times a day in between meals.Comment. RemedyWay is planning to make a blend called RemedyWay SH-2.
  1. After first signs of improvement (any other complications caused by diabetes should start to disappear), continue to regulate the amount of injected insulin or pills consumed and maintain the optimal blood glucose level. If healing improves consistently, then try to stop injecting insulin or taking pills.
  2. After the success of the main program, a new programme should be conducted with experienced doctors, phytotherapists, naturopaths or healers to fully restore the beta cells in the pancreas and eliminate autoimmunity. It is also important to restrain, halt the further development or eliminate the diseases or complications caused by diabetes. The treatment may take 1 to 4 years before full recovery, depending on the type of diabetes and the effort put into it. Practice shows that in 80% of cases this program will heal the diabetic in 1–3 (6) months.
